The Oblong Soccer Camp had approximately 70 kids from all over the county participate. This was the first year the Soccer committee did this and it seemed to go over very well. The camp was taught by Sol, David, Zach Elliott (son of Marty and Gina Sackrider Elliott), who are teammates of Zach's. The three boys play for the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and volunteered to come teach the camp. Ian Sablone from Oblong, who has played soccer most of his life, also volunteered. The group plans to host another camp in late August to early September. (photo submitted)
