Anita Clark

Anita Rowene "Blondie" Clark, 59, of Robinson, died at 11:42 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012, at her home following an apparent stroke.

Born January 25, 1953, in Watseka, to Orlin and Frances M. Vernia Stephens, she was a tow motor operator at T.J. Maxx in Evansville, Ind., a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1972 to 1974, a journalism major at Vincennes University from 1991 to 1992 and a member of American Legion Post #69 in Robinson.

Ms. Clark is survived by her fiance, Bryan Baker of Robinson; two daughters, Trissa Clark (Michael Triplett) of Vincennes and Cindy (Mike) Clark of Old York; two step-daughters, Kelley Baker of Oblong and Jamie Jo Baker of Langley, Okla.; four grandchildren, Anastasia Hammond of Hutsonville, Madison Fettinger of Petersburg, Ind., and Cole Triplett and Brandon Triplett, both of Vincennes; a brother, Brian Stephens of Robinson; four sisters, Diane Jarrard of Springfield, Vicki (Warren) Pearce of Casey, Terry (John) Beecher of Terre Haute, Ind., and Kelly (Rodney) Tuel of Oblong; and several nieces and nephews.

She married Richard Clark on March 20, 1975 and he died December 16, 2008. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Darrell Stephens.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 25, at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson. Military rites were provided by American Legion Post #69. Cremation rites were accorded, with burial at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
