Also during the meeting, Bill Farrell and Willy Farrell conducted a laptop software presentation on cataloging artifacts. The originally designed software will allow extensive tracking and reports for all items collected and contributed to the society. Beta versions were shared for test entries by members to streamline for perfected use. Bill Farrell explained that the society should have an archivist to track artifacts. He noted that the archivist would also be included as a director on the slate of officers, according to the by-laws set up in June 2008. The members voted to establish the position.

Farrell suggested that the collection and storage of donated items be decided in the near future. The Ramseys have offered space in their home. The discussion will continue at a future meeting. DeAnn Ramsey proposed adding a program topic for future meetings to discuss historical stories and events of the Casey area to make meetings interesting and expand the objectives of CHS. Members were asked for theme ideas to discuss at the next meeting. In other matters, the group: - Accepted the resignation from board by Patty Richards and appointed Don Funk to fill the position. - Approved the minutes and treasurer's report. - Decided to cancel the August and September meetings and to meet next on October 1.
