M.R. Tedrick Memorial Golf Event 2009 ''Golfing For the Future''  Share
This year's 5th annual Casey-Westfield Alumni Association''Golfing for the Future'' event was held on June 6th , at the Casey Country Club. A Casey-Westfield Alumni Association's goal is to provide a yearly scholarship that will contribute to the higher education of a graduating young man or woman. He or she will receive a scholarship each year for four years if they continue in good standing in the college of their choice and funds are available. This would not be possible without the continued effort of all who contribute and participate in our ''Golfing For the Future.'' Our past recipients of the scholarships include Jonathan Matthews (2006), Kortnie Hanners (2007), Alyssa Brown (2008) and this year's winner is Christopher Patrick White. We were pleased to have 41 golfers participating in this year's event. Our1st Place Team winners: John Reed, Kathy Reed, Renee Honselman & Don Cochonour. 2nd Place Team Winners: John Meaadows, Rob Crites, Brad Parker & Brad Finney. 3rd Place Winners Team: Evelyn Davis, Kevin Davis, Quintin Davis & Bill Squires. Our Thanks also goes to The Casey Country Club for hosting this event, Kirchner Building Centers, Stifal & Sons Hardware, Pizza Hut, J & K Mitchell, Casey's, IGA and State Farm Insurance for supplying snacks and prizes It all could not be done without the Hole Sponsors and Scholarship Donors which along with the golfing pictures will be displayed on the Casey-Westfield Alumni Association's web site www.c-waa.org. Be sure to check them out. A special ''Thanks'' goes to Bob Rue for his never ending hours in putting this event together. He will be missed.
