RHHS controls county football game Share
The Red Hill High School varsity football team may have not been able to control the rainy weather that preceded the Homecoming game on Friday; but, the home team did have control over a 14-7 victory against the Lawrenceville Indians in Bridgeport. Officials rotated the pigskin throughout the game for the dryest possible playing conditions. The field was also a challenge as cleats pierced the soggy turf. The Dawgs pulled through the mud to add up 170 rushing yards, compared to the Indians' 54. Tony Theriac led Red Hill with 19 rushing attempts for 120 yards. Theriac also led the Salukis in for two touchdowns. His first score was made with 4:23 remaining on the second quarter clock. The extra point kick failed. Then, in the fourth quarter, Theriac scored with 2:11 remaining in the game. For an extra two points, Theriac again burst through the line.
