The Red Hill High School varsity football team got close to its goal, but ran out of time to score Friday night. In their first Little Illini Conference game of the season, the ''Dawgs'' fell to Toledo- Cumberland, 17-0. Neither team posted a score in the first quarter. In the second half, another intercepted pass resulted in the loss of possession of the ball by the Salukis. A pass intended for Robert Young was picked off by a Pirate. With 1:22 remaining in the third quarter, Cumberland kicked a field goal from the 20-yard line which counted for another three points, making the score 10-0. Red Hill did connect on a series of plays in the third quarter as one standout double pass to Tony Theriac and then to Lucas Hahn gained yardage for the ''Dawgs.''
