RHJH wins third Oblong Invitational title Share
The Red Hill Jr. High School Softball team has won the Oblong Invitational softball tournament for the third consecutive year. In their first game of the tourney on Saturday, Red Hill defeated St. Thomas, 16 - 1. Off to a running start, the Miss Salukis collected nine runs. They scored two in the second inning and five in the third. In the brief contest, St. Thomas scored their solo run in the second inning. At bat, Kennedy Whittaker led Red Hill with three hits, including a double.

Chloe Brookhart, Heather Perry and Maran Tennis each had two hits. One of Brookhart's hits was a double. Other hitters were: Audrey Peters, Kaylyn Schafer, Brittany Fiscus, Andi Tennis and Sue Cessna. From the pitcher's mound, Whittaker struck out five, walked one and allowed one hit. Red Hill vs. Oblong In the second game, Red Hill defeated Oblong, 7-1. Oblong scored three in the opening inning, while Red Hill scored one. The teams battled through the next three innings, however, without a score. In the fifth inning, Red Hill scored four runs. Audrey Peters had two hits for the Miss Salukis. Maddie Hammel, Andi Tennis, and Whittaker each had a hit with Hammel hitting a double. Fiscus pitched six innings for Red Hill, striking out seven and allowing four hits. Barbara E.
