RHJH experiences first-game jitters Share
The Red Hill Jr. High School softball team ''had some first-game jitters'' with a 6-3 loss in Cumberland on Monday. Cumberland scored one run in the first inning and three in the third before Red Hill could get a solo run in in the fourth. Cumberland scored two more in the fourth. Then, in the seventh inning, the Miss Salukis closed the game with two more runs. ''Our defense was very shakey. We also didn't hit the ball very well,'' Coach Richard Dixon commented. Coach Dixon did commend Brittany Fiscus for her first-game pitching efforts. Fiscus allowed one hit in six innings.
