Fifth-sixth grade teams lose to Robinson, split at Cumberland

In recent fifth and sixth grade basketball action, the teams lost to Robinson, then traveled to Cumberland where the teams split games.

The fifth grade team lost to Robinson, 33-9, on Tuesday, February 7.

"We played hard against a very talented team, but came up short," coach Erica Stence said.

In sixth grade action, Oblong held a two-point lead, 13-11, at halftime, then scored 34 points in the second half for a 47-28 win.

"After halftime, we used a full-court press and were able to turn the opponents' mistakes into points," Stence said.
