Youth Mid-Winter Rabbit Show
Wabash County 4-H will host the annual Mid-Winter Rabbit Show on Saturday, February 25, at the Mt. Carmel 4-H Center, 15039 4-H Center Lane, Mt. Carmel, for all youth between the ages of eight and 18. Doors open at 8 a.m., with judging at 10 a.m.
There is an entry fee, and all fees will be awarded as prize money. Trophies and ribbons also will be awarded. All rabbits must be in a leak-proof carrying cage. Rabbits not ear tattooed will be ear marked with a pen when they are entered in the show.
Classes will be bucks and does six months of age or older. No market classes. Breed classes will include New Zealand, Satins, Dutch, Rex, Californian, Florida White, Champagne D'argent, Lops, Flemish Giants, Palomino, Dwarfs, Angoras, Polish, and two open classes for Other Small Breeds and Other Large Breeds.
The Wabash County 4-H Dog Agility Club will have concessions available all day during the show. A vender also will be available selling cages, rabbit equipment, and supplies. The show is open to all 4-H and youth in the area.
